Next Event

Date confirmed for the next Event: Sunday 4th September 2005

Well we are almost there, we have been busy planning the 2005 event.

Wellingborough MFC Car park. Freestyle Flying Site 2005.

The event is to be held towards the rear of the complex, in the rugby/running track bowl (and yes the posts will be coming out), although Terry did think they might make a good feature.

Wellingborough Ogee's MFC

Venue for the 2005 RCM&E British Freestyle Event.

Back ground information about the club and its history.

The Old Grammarians Association is a charity formed in memory of those young men who fell during the world wars. The 46 acre Memorial Sports Field provides recreation for numerous senior and junior sports (Rugby, football, cricket, tennis, running, aeromodelling) as well as simply somewhere for members to walk their dog. It boasts a new £1.5 million Sports Clubhouse with kitchen, lounge bar, rest rooms, changing/shower and formal function facilities as well. And there's off road parking for 300 cars.

Name of the event

It was decided in 2004 that the title of the event should be changed to the British Freestyle Aerobatic Championships, the reasoning being it gets reported on various  forums as that, so we decided that was the name to go for and the name that the pilots like.  Our sponsor is still as before RCM&E.
